What is taukn.io ?
taukn.io is a shop of tokenized assets

That's normal, this site may seems a little bit cryptic
Here are a few words you needs to understand.
Here you'll need a wallet to make transaction. Your wallet is your key giving you access to what you've bought.
The blockchain is a database where all the transactions are stored. After a transaction is recorded on the blockchain it's permanent.
On taukn.io you can buy tokens. A Token is a contract giving you right on an underlying.
An underlying can be a startup, a painting, a stock or a loan. It can be anything.

Example
You want to invest in the Startup BLURON which is a very successful startup. The Startup is actually valorised at 5 millions CHF.
Bad news the minimum investment ticket is 100'000 CHF and you planned to invest only 100 CHF
Good news. We have invested in the Startup and we're selling tokens of our investment.
What ?
We've divided our investment of 100'000 CHF into 100'000 tokens
Each token cost 1 CHF
Now you can buy 100 tokens representing a fraction of our investment in the startup.
Ok, I have 100 tokens then what ?
The tokens give you a right on the underlying.
The BLURON startup make a successful exit and is bought for 100 millions CHF
Your tokens are now worth 1'000 CHF. 10 times the initial value.
How do I get my money back ?
A smart contract is executed to make the Settlement.
Your 100 tokens are send to the Smart-Contract
In exchange the smart contract sends 1'000 CHF (minus transaction fees) in your Wallet
Interesting. But I can buy only startups ?
No. Here you can buy mostly anything, as long as we have tokenized it.
You can visit our categories sections to see all the underling we've tokenized.
What if I want to own the underlying ?
For some underlying it's may be possible became the owner. This possibility is listed in the underlying contract document.
What is the benefit of not be the owner ?
Some underlying are not accessible to retail investors. With the tokenization you are now able to buy a fraction of it and take profit is the underling is performing well.
Can I sell my tokens ?
Yes! If you'd like to sell your tokens you'll be able to list your tokens for selling on an OTC Exchange. If a buyers is interested a SmartContract will settle the transaction for you.
